Some youngsters will use a friend’s air rifle without any knowledge or training, and that is how accidents can happen. We offer airgun tuition by fully qualified BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation) instructors for anyone wishing to learn or just to experience them.

The lessons cover safety in relation to all shooting sports, gun safety, and how to handle the air rifle properly and consistently hit targets. Airguns are great fun in the right hands and relatively low cost to get involved in. We can also advise on how to progress in the sport, whether you just want to spend a couple of hours relaxing by ‘plinking’ with your new air rifle, or perhaps how to shoot them competitively. A very sensible course of action for parents to get their offspring shooting safely.

We use the excellent BSA Ultra air rifles, powered by compressed air (pcp), in both .177 and .22 calibres. We can also demonstrate break barrel ‘springer’ air rifles and advise on the purchase of either. We have the junior size BSA Ultra suitable for the smaller person. Age probably 9 onwards with a sensible attitude.

We are at the moment, looking at setting up a ‘Target Sprint’ Northern Hub using air rifles in conjunction with BASC.  Much work has already been done on gettimg this off the ground, anyone interested, please get in touch. ‘Target Sprint’ is a Commonwealth Games discipline so, hopefully, we may see some of our clients on the International stage in the future, you never know!

A full lesson is £25 per person for a minimum of 2 people together, and lasts around an hour or so, we don’t rush people and want you to enjoy it.

Top quality BSA Ultra SE air rifles we use for airgun lessons. Safe, no recoil, and tremendous fun.
