English Skeet
Without going too deeply into the rules that govern this discipline as to heights, distances and the sequence of the targets. To put it very simply, in competition the squads of 5 will be presented with a total of 25 targets per person to be shot over a set sequence through stands 1 – 7 as shown diagrammatically above.

Basically this discipline is all about crossing and quartering targets, the amount of ‘lead’ to give the clay from a certain stand can be very frustrating for the novice as amongst other things there is a tendancy to miss ‘behind’.
However this discipline will teach you to maintain movement of the gun after the shot has been fired as well as ‘lead’.

Skeet is a good practice before moving onto the more complex discipline of ‘English Sporting ‘.
